MBA Summer Intern

Location: Hybrid (Georgetown Venture Lab - 200 Mass Ave NW)

Pay: $2,500 Stipend for the 6-week program (Estimated 10-15 hours/week)

Role Overview

Dog Water Studios is seeking a highly motivated MBA Summer Intern to join our team. Your primary focus will be on our upcoming title, Imprint. We need a proactive individual who can handle paperwork, operations, and act as a liaison with outside agencies, allowing our founder to focus on the technical side of development. You will be set up with a Microsoft suite and a company email address for all official communications.

Job Duties

  • Serve as the primary liaison connecting Dog Water Studios with outside agencies, storefronts, and console platforms (e.g., Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo, Steam).
  • Source, hire, and manage a diverse range of freelance contractors to support our projects (including translators, localization experts, QA testers, voice actors, promotional artists, video editors, and PR consultants).
  • Oversee administrative operations and legal paperwork, such as verifying and managing trademarks related to Imprint and drafting contractor agreements.
  • Conduct comprehensive marketing analysis and implement effective SEO and promotional strategies.
  • Focus on driving operational execution, preparing Imprint for a successful release, and coordinating all facets of its go-to-market strategy.

Logistics & Expectations

  • Duration: June 1st to July 16th, 2026.
  • Equipment: You will be provided access to a Microsoft suite and a company email address.
  • Location: Work can be done entirely remotely, but you have the option to work from the Georgetown Venture Lab (200 Mass Ave NW, Washington, D.C.) if you prefer an office environment.
  • Meetings: We have optional in-person meetings each Tuesday for two hours from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM (Noon) at the Venture Lab.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited MBA program.
  • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a hybrid/remote environment.
  • Problem solver. Will seek solutions and is willing to learn.

Nice-to-Haves

  • A passion for video games, especially narrative-driven or educational titles.
  • Previous experience or coursework in the entertainment, media, or tech industry.
  • Familiarity with startup environments and agile methodologies.
