Role Overview
Dog Water Studios is seeking a highly organized Undergraduate Business & Marketing Intern to streamline our external operations and publishing initiatives. You will act as the operational nexus between our core development team and external partners, ensuring that our promotional strategies are executed flawlessly. This position offers a unique vantage point into the business of game development, from vendor relations to go-to-market strategy execution.
Job Duties
- Facilitate communication and manage deliverables across external agencies, PR firms, and freelance contractors.
- Oversee the production pipeline for marketing assets, performing rigorous quality assurance to ensure brand consistency and adherence to platform holder guidelines.
- Assist in coordinating storefront metadata, promotional copy, and key art for platforms like Steam, PlayStation Store, and Xbox Store.
- Support community management efforts by monitoring player feedback, drafting social media content, and tracking engagement metrics.
- Assist in tracking budgets, executing vendor contracts, and maintaining the studio's operational cadence.

- Duration: June 1st to July 16th, 2026.
- Hours: Estimated 8-12 hours per week.
- Location: Work can be done remotely, with options for hybrid collaboration.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program for Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- Excellent organizational, negotiation, and cross-functional communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain QA pipelines for external deliverables.
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks and coordinate with external partners efficiently.
Nice-to-Haves
- Familiarity operating within Agile methodologies and sprint tracking (e.g., Jira, Trello, Asana).
- A foundational understanding of the gaming industry's publishing landscape and digital storefront ecosystems.
- Previous experience in community management, digital marketing campaigns, or influencer outreach.
- A passion for video games, especially narrative-driven or educational titles.
